2007 Season's Events

Memories of Peaks Island's Past
     August 29, 2007

A large and enthusiastic crowd gathered at the Fifth Maine on August 29 to share memories of life on Peaks Island in years past with Don Kennedy and friends.

The evening began with Don and his brother Harris showing a collection of images from their childhood in the 1940s and concluded with Reta Pedersen Morrill talking about her island childhood and her family's long history on the island.

Don talks about an image projected on the screen.

 

The evening was such a success that another memories nite is scheduled for Wednesday July 16 with Howard Wright who grew up on the island in the 1920s and 30s.
