          "Civil War Days"

The Fifth Maine's annual Civil War Day took place on July 21, 2007, with well over 150 people in attendance.

The festivities included a guest speaker from the Joshua Chamberlain Civil War Roundtable, a variety of demonstrations by comrades from the 3rd Maine Infantry, and tours of the 8th Maine Regiment Memorial Hall.
 

Ladies of the 3rd Maine enjoy the view from the porch while keeping up with their handiwork.

The day concluded with a bean supper followed by a contradance at the 8th Maine.
